Our Mission
To develop satellite-derived Earth Observation intelligence that supports decision-making for users and managers facing critical challenges in coastal, aquatic and ice-affected environments.

Our Vision
Advance Earth Observation innovation that delivers real-world impact in coastal, aquatic and ice-affected environments, while building the talent and partnerships that will drive the future of the sector.

Our Values
ArctUS
Arctus consists of dedicated, involved and highly skilled professionals. We work together to reach our common goals. We work boldly and cooperatively with support and respect.
Expertise & Quality
Scientific rigor, data quality, and technical excellence are central to our approach. We enjoy solving problems and overcoming challenges while maintaining our high standards.
Diversity
We build on our differences and our diversity. Our strength lies in our blend of expertise, training, various professional journeys and international roots.
Innovation
Our state-of-the-art innovations connect land and sea and bring scientific knowledge to the end-users. Our curiosity and passion drive the development of our innovative solutions, designed to monitor and protect the coastal environment and the oceans.
LovAQUA
We are committed to sustainable protection and management of aquatic environments, including oceans, coastal zones, rivers, lakes and inland waters.
Location
Proudly rooted in the Bas-St-Laurent region, we support the creation of highly qualified jobs in Rimouski, contributing to regional economic development and knowledge based growth.
Our Team
Arctus is composed of highly qualified personnel (HQP) with a solid background and experience in both theoretical and practical aspects of remote sensing. We specialize in oceanic, coastal, and inland water environments, while also possessing in-depth knowledge of the St. Lawrence ecosystem and polar environments. Our areas of expertise include the development of algorithms and numerical models for the exploitation of Earth observation data produced by various space agencies.
