Patrick is a specialist in remote sensing and electrical engineering, holding a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. He has expertise in remote sensing, with a focus on hyperspectral imaging, and a background in power systems analysis. His academic and professional journey includes developing innovative solutions for the detection of defects and icing on wind turbine blades using hyperspectral imaging and artificial intelligence. Before joining Arctus, he worked as a research professional at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Université du Québec à Rimouski, where he led R&D projects focused on applying artificial intelligence and neural networks for classification and detection in the field of remote sensing. He also has diverse experience in project management, team coordination, and the creation and management of databases. Passionate about applying Earth observation technologies to address complex environmental challenges, especially in aquatic and coastal environments, he has published several scientific articles and participated in international conferences, sharing his research on hyperspectral imaging and machine learning algorithms. At Arctus, he contributes to the development of new methodologies for satellite data analysis, image classification, and the implementation of advanced algorithms, thereby adding significant value to the team and the company’s projects.
