As a manager and researcher in oceanography, Christiane is passionate about applied science and innovation. She is particularly interested in how research can address concrete, current challenges. After obtaining her PhD in 2014 from the University of Toulon (France), where she specialised in hydro-sedimentary dynamics, she developed in-depth expertise in coastal modelling. For nearly 15 years, she has been developing models to study hydrodynamic circulation, pollutant dispersion and hydro-sedimentary dynamics. Throughout her career, Christiane has worked closely with public authorities to translate scientific knowledge into practical decision-making tools. Her contributions relate in particular to the management of bathing water quality, the protection of lagoon ecosystems and post-accident crisis management in the event of pollutant spills at sea. To broaden the impact of her work, she recently completed an MBA at HEC Montréal in 2024, adding a strategic and entrepreneurial dimension to her scientific expertise. Today, at Arctus, she plays an active role in developing R&D projects and creating innovative solutions.
